Jessica Penzias is a New York-based librettist and playwright.

Her shows have been produced in New York City, throughout the United States, and in over 80 countries around the globe. Selected works include: The Show Must Go Online (The world’s #1 virtual musical, with over 1,000 productions worldwide), From The Mixed-Up Files Of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, The Prince’s New Pet, The Fox Sisters, Super Happy Awesome News, Could You Hug A Cactus, BOTS, and the book Group Scenes for Young Actors.

Jessica is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America, the 92Y Musical Theater Development Lab, and the Tony Award-honored BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Librettists' Workshop, where she was awarded the Jerry Harrington Award For Outstanding Creative Achievement.

As an associate at Jill Furman Productions, Jessica aided in the development and production of Hamilton, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Suffs, and Freestyle Love Supreme. She holds a degree in creative writing and theatre arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
